About the Foundation
The Belltower Student Foundation is a student-run organization at Augusta University whose mission is to strengthen the sense of community at AU through philanthropy, civic engagement, and volunteerism. The students who comprise the foundation board are responsible for investing an endowment portfolio and allocating the earnings of that endowment to philanthropic uses across Augusta University and the Augusta region.
Foundation Structure
The Foundation is comprised of 5 committees:
- Executive Committee (Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary, Treasurer)
- Investment Committee (responsible for investing and reporting on the foundation's endowment portfolio)
- Marketing Committee (responsible for marketing the Foundation across AU and Augusta)
- Governance Committee (responsible for the creating and maintenance of Foundation documents)
- Engagement Committee (responsible for planning volunteer projects and allocating endowment earnings)
A letter of recommendation is required as a part of the application. These letters can be emailed to Alex Griffin, Executive Director of the Belltower Student Foundation at agriffin@mcgfoundation.org
